Rapid Sheet Metal

Our sheet metal rapid prototyping services include a variety of tooled and manual manufacturing techniques and processes enabling us to realise some highly complex parts without expensive and time consuming production tooling.
At our sheet metal workshop we encompass bending, shearing, staking, laser, stamping and wire cutting, as well as CNC punching, CNC folding, drilling, tapping, countersinking and counterboring. Our team of highly experienced craftsmen have been manipulating sheet metal for years and come from a wide range of backgrounds.

SLA

Stereolithography is an additive technology which allows you to print 3D models of your parts direct from your CAD files in a matter of hours. SLA parts are incredibly accurate and provide the finest surface finish available via current 3D printing technologies. It works by fusing a liquid resin together via combination of computer controlled laser and mirrors.

SLS

Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) is a 3D Printing technology similar to SLA but works by fusing or sintering a powdered material together via a highly accurate computer controlled laser and mirror system. Selective Laser Sintering is a fast and accurate prototyping technology producing durable parts quickly and cheaply. Using a laser as the power source to sinter powdered material it binds the material together to create a solid structure. It is a convenient as well as a cost-effective way to make prototypes as well as finished products. The parts need little post process finishing and are suitable for a wide range of applications.

Vacuum Casting

The perfect solution for one offs in silicone or rubber, parts with complex geometries and low volume production runs or multiple prototypes, vacuum or urethane (RTV) casting has become the industry standard. SNAPP Solutions can offer high quality cast urethane parts which look, feel and act like production parts in rapid times.
Vacuum casting allows for parts to be self coloured and the urethane casting process assisted by a vacuum which ensures a high degree of conformity. Our engineers optimize each individual step to bring the gas porosity to the minimum. The cast parts can be produced in a broad range of surface finishes and colours or transparencies.
SNAPP Solutions can cast your parts in a massive range of leading Polyurethane resins and offer parts from one of the largest machines in the industry. Using either imported or domestic silicone for the tools SNAPP Solutions offers the finest cast parts to suit your project’s budget and requirements. We deploy these cutting edge technologies to manufacture smooth and accurate plastic and metal parts while retaining very tight tolerances. Our technicians can take out the time to clean each part, polish any surface roughness, and if needed, fill and paint the components.

Finishing

SNAPP Solutions is able to finish your prototypes or models so they resemble the real thing. Our on site facilities include dust free paint rooms, hand finishing areas, sand and bead blasting as well as silk printing equipment. We can match Pantone and RAL colour standards and can provide Mold-Tech and VDI finishes on metal and plastic parts.
As well as our in house services we have a massive network of specialist partners able to provide any finish imaginable from chrome plating and anodizing, through to heat treatments, zinc and other metal plating/coating, powder coating and water transfer printing, the list goes on for as long as your imagination.
